The Turtle Beach Catalina Sound Card is a state-of-the-art sound card featuring Dolby Digital technology.  Dolby Digital converts any audio signal into a Dolby Digital bitstream for transport & playback through a home theater system, so PC games, movies, music and television will sound their best!  It also means there is only one cable connection!  That's right, you can attach your PC to your home theater via a single digital cable, avoiding the confusion of a complicated setup.  Also features an Optical S/PDIF input for recording digital audio from external sources at resolutions of up to 24bits at 96kHz sampling rate (settings are in the Control Panel main tab), and an Optical S/PDIF output for playback of digital audio from external sources at resolutions of up to 24 bits at 96kHz sampling rate.  Software package includes: Catalina Control Panel with software control panels and adjustments; Sensaura Virtual Ear 3D spatialization; Voyetra Record Producer multi-track MIDI and digital audio sequencer, AudioSurgeon LE digital audio editor, MusicWrite LE sheet music editing program, Recording Station MIDI recording studio, SoundCheck system diagnostic.
